Recently tested a YouTube extension called LingTube and it turned out to be more useful than I expected.
It can translate subtitles in real time, but what makes it interesting is that it also works for videos without captions by automatically recognizing speech and generating translated subtitles. It can even read the translated text aloud with AI dubbing.
The bilingual subtitle mode is really nice for learning languages or understanding detailed content like coding tutorials, online courses, interviews, and podcasts.
There’s also an AI summary feature that can generate quick overviews, key points, and timestamps for long videos, which saves a lot of time when you only need the important parts.
